Francis is into music since he was 8 years old, and his mam put her violin in his small hands and said 'now this violin is yours to play, son'. So he studied the violin until his 18th birthday. 1990-2001 First rock band (Tribe) from 1990 to 2001, where he played... the violin. And guitar and backing vocals. Francis wrote or co-wrote most of the songs of Tribe. With Tribe, he made 2 CDs (Stone Cold and Temper), and played numerous gigs in numerous venues in the Flanders area - as well as some songs on regional and national TV. Seven weeks in De Afrekening top 30. 2001-2010 By the year 2000, Francis got more and more attracted to electronic music. Moving away from the rock and live scene, he spent more time at the helm in his project studio. Two music projects in the period 2000-2005: the dance metal project Unk!(www.unk.be, where 3 on-line albums are free to download) with the bass player and singer of the metal band Starspawn, and KNF - a collaboration with the ex-drummer of Tribe. 2010-today Realizing that he needed to chose between performing live and being in the studio, Francis chose to become a free-lance music producer. |
